Our Story

Founded in 2001 in Ontario, ONGIA began with a focus on addressing the street gang phenomenon in the province. As street gangs and organized crime groups have expanded their presence and criminal activities across Canada, the demand for ONGIA’s training and expertise has grown significantly. Today, ONGIA is a national organization delivering training and education across the country.

ONGIA is a volunteer board made up of professionals from all sectors of the criminal justice community. Its mission is to provide education, training, and awareness on gang-related issues including human trafficking. Through partnerships with communities, ONGIA works to reduce gang activity in neighbourhoods and schools.
